Iabela Borowska made wall paintings, designed interiors of churches, and painted a copy of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, of the Gates of Dawn, for a chapel in Skarżysko-Kamienna, based on the painting in Vilnius. Throughout her life, Borowska missed the city of her youth. In Poland, she painted a number of watercolours of Vilnius, based on photographs and other visual records. Cathedral is a typical example: executed in a dry manner, the drawing is precise, but the sparse surroundings and the lack of detail suggest that it was not made from life.
