Author: Izabela Borowska (1912–after 2006)

Izabela Borowska (1912– after 2006) was born in Liepaja, the daughter of Admiral Michael Borowski of the Polish navy. She studied in the Art Department of Stephen Báthory University under Ludomir Sleńdziński, and formed her style under his influence. In the interwar period, she painted synthesised portraits and still-lifes. After the Second World War she moved to Poland, and lived in Kielce, where she participated in exhibitions and established an Art Lovers’ Society.
