Józef Oziębłowski made several lithographs of the interior and exterior of the Church of St Peter and St Paul. The lithograph The Church of St Peter and St Paul in Vilnius is distinguished by its Classical proportions. The horizon divides it into two equal parts. It is similar to the townscape St Peter and St Paul’s Church in Antakalnis painted in oils by Kanutas Ruseckas in 1849 (V. Drėma, Kanutas Ruseckas, Vilnius, 1996). The painter admired the Baroque church and the surrounding countryside. The feast of St Peter and St Paul took place at the church every June, inviting residents to come out of the city, to visit the fair, and enjoy various kinds of entertainment. The lithograph shows the square already deserted after the fair, with rides, a crossbar and benches for viewers.
