Here, the painter immortalised the magnificent Nemunas, now lost to us after the construction of the hydroelectric power station. Having chosen the observation point on a high bank of the river, he managed to join into a harmonious unity, the huge areas of lush greenery and the blue of the sky and waters. The author painted this picture with broad dynamic strokes, thus achieving the impression of movement of the clouds, water and the leaves on the trees. The painter disclosed the solemn, majestic and immense elemental forces of nature. This is one of the most prominent paintings of J. Buračas.
