Of course, Vilnius was not the only subject of interest to young artists. They also found inspiration in idyllic suburban scenes, scenes from Trakai with Neoclassical bathers, and reimagined religious motifs, in various techniques of graphic art. In addition to exhibitions, the art form was popularised further by subscriptions to graphic works advertised in widely read Vilnius dailies, like Słowo in the 1930s, and later Kurjer Wileński. Taking note of the successful model adopted by their counterparts in Warsaw, the editors of Vilnius dailies invited artists to acquaint their readers with trends in graphic art, with the aim of cultivating a public appreciation for art and supporting emerging talent. Subscribers had the chance to acquire at an affordable priceoriginal works by lesser-known artists, who were often students from the Faculty of Art at Stephen Báthory University (Jan Kotłowski, Grafika wileńska okresu międzywojennego, Torun, 2020, pp. 19–21). After a successful subscription campaign, high-quality works of art appeared in domestic interiors all over Vilnius, such as the etching Summer by Kuzma Czurylo (1908–1951).
