For the dramatic etching Vilnius University, Romana Gintyłłówna (19111988) used bold and expressive drypoint lines, and aquatint for the darker planes, in keeping with the style of her teacher Bronisław Jamontt. The observatory tower is shown clearly in the etching: after the fire in 1876 it was lowered, and remained without a dome, which was rebuilt during its restoration in 1990.
