Respublica Polonica, duobus libris illustrata; qvorum prior, historiæ Polonicæ memorabiliora [...], posterior vero jus publicum Reipublicæ Polonicæ, Lithvanicæ [...] comprehendit

In his work ‘Two Books on the Republic of Poland’, Christoph Hartknoch (1644–1687) described the sources for the history of Lithuania and Poland, and the state and social structures of the Polish- Lithuanian Commonwealth. ‘Treatise on the Origin of the Pomeranians’ (Dissertatio de originibus Pomeranicis) by the same author and ‘Treatise on the Republic of Courland and Semigallia’ (Dissertatio de Curonorum et Semgallorum Republica) by Bernard Joannes Niresius were published together with this work. The book first appeared in 1678, and was reprinted in 1687 and 1698. The Ellex Valiunas collection has all three editions of the book.
