The medal on a marble base in commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the death of Vytautas the Great

In addition to these grand monuments, more practical objects were also designed to commemorate Vytautas. Busts, medallions and medals with the grand duke’s image were made to decorate the interiors of state institutions and private houses. Versions of medals marking the 500th anniversary of the death of Vytautas the Great, by Petras Rimša (1881–1961), a classic of Lithuanian art, were very popular.
