This is one of the numerous landscapes of the Nemunas riversides, most probably painted for the 24 June–5 July 1928 exhibition (held jointly with J. Vienožinskis and A. Galdikas). J. Šileika was a master of painting depth and distance. This panoramic landscape attracts the eye by the impressive serenity of distance with the meandering river and expressive cloudy sky.
