Artists on the Move | 2025
The album "Artists on the Move" presents transatlantic migrants who built their lives and careers in South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Bolivia, and the USA. The most prominent representatives of this volume are Lasar‘is Segal, the pioneer of Brazilian modernist painting, and Jurgis Mačiūnas, the pioneer of the Fluxus movement born in the USA. Other success stories are presented in parallel – Vytautas Kazimieras Jonynas, who mastered the new role of creating sacred interiors, Jonas Rimša, the creator of the Bolivian national art school, Kazys Varnelis' optical experiments, which are attracting increasing international interest, and the contribution of Nomeda and Gediminas Urbonas to the convergence of the fields of science and art.
