VYTAUTAS KASIULIS ART MUSEUM OPENS ITS DOORS IN VILNIUS

The Lithuanian Art Museum invites to a press conference to be held on Thursday, 27 June, at 11 o’clock in the new Vytautas Kasiulis Art Museum (A. Goštauto 1) where the permanent exhibition of the collection of Vytautas Kasiulis’ works donated to the country will be presented. The museum also features a national and international exhibition centre and a multi-functional hall for art education, cultural meetings, and art promotion projects. Along with the permanent exhibition, the museum's first exhibition 'Vytautas Kasiulis's Paris' will be opened on 27 June 2013, starting the 'Cities of Europe' exhibition series.

In this new exhibition at the museum, the aim is to embrace retrospectively and present the totality of the artist’s creative endeavour phases and to give the Lithuanian public an opportunity to get to know better and more roundly the art world of this talented Lithuanian, a creative artist with a unique style. The exhibition has been replenished with the works borrowed from the Lithuanian Expatriate Art Foundation, the National M.K. Čiurlionis Art Museum, Rolandas Valiūnas and Elena Bradūnaitė (USA).
