This is one of the earliest works of A. Międzybłocki, painted some time between his studies at the Vilnius School of Drawing and the Cracow Academy of Art. For his landscape, the artist chose the motif of a courtyard with an old cattle-shed and trees behind the fence, and he painted it with free, soft strokes. Light, yellowishgreen colours of the grass and leaves on the trees render the freshness of the spring. The aged and bow-backed cattle-shed against the background of fresh greenness, makes the shed appear much older than it is.
