Vilnius Calvary. The chapels

Author: Jan Maksymilian Kasprowicz (1906–1986)

The Polish painter Jan Maksymilian Kasprowicz (1906–1986) studied painting at an art school in Poznań, and from 1935 he lived in Gdynia. He was one of the founders of the Polish Artists’ Union in Gdańsk. In 1955, he completed his studies at Gdańsk Higher School of Art, and later lectured there. Works of his are held in the national museums of Gdańsk, Poznań and Warsaw, and in the City of Gdynia Museum.
