Author: Jan Feliks Bogucki (1886–1955)

The Polish painter and graphic artist Jan Feliks Bogucki (1886–1955) studied at the Higher School of Industry in Cracow, and moved in artistic circles in Warsaw. He painted canvases and murals, and also designed carpets. In the early 20th century, he made some lithographs of Warsaw, which were published as cards. Just before the First World War, he painted some views of Vilnius that were published as a series of cards in Warsaw. They are the most beautiful cards of Vilnius to be published in Warsaw in the early 20th century.
