Author: Ramazanas Krinickas (1904–1983)

first he learned painting at a private painting studio in Moscow and from 1922 – at the Higher Art Technical Studios of Moscow (Vchutemas). In 1926–1930 he studied painting and scenography at the Kaunas School of Art. Between 1931 and 1936 he attended M. Dobuzhinsky’s private studio. He began to participate in exhibitions in 1936. In 1930–1940 he worked as an artist at the State Theatre, in 1941–1947 – at the Kaunas Musical Theatre and in 1948–1953 – at the Kaunas Young Spectators’ Theatre. He worked mostly in stage settings, but also produced works of graphic art and paintings. He died in 1983 in Kaunas.
